The team
Article One partners and associates have diverse experience working for and alongside state and federal Government, the not-for-profit sector and business. Our Partners have worked for state and federal anti-discrimination and human rights statutory bodies and worked as executives within the Victorian Government overseeing organisational change and policy development.
Amy Rogers - Partner
Amy is a human rights lawyer by trade and anti-discrimination and equality expert. Amy’s career has focussed on promoting human rights, equality and positive organisational change – working for Government, NGOs and human rights institutions at state, national and international settings. She has directed major reports on justice and corrections settings for a Royal Commission and state Government. Amy has also worked as a campaigner for social justice and in international human rights in Mongolia, Ghana and Timor Leste.
Amy was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2019 allowing her to travel across the United Kingdom, Sweden, Iceland and New Zealand to conduct research on best practice approaches to gender pay equality to close the gender, ethnicity and disability pay gaps.
Areas of special interest – the implementation of anti-discrimination and workplace equality laws and best practice; pay equality; justice reform and independent monitoring of corrections and other closed settings; and enhancing organisational culture.
Claire Marshall- Partner
Claire is a human rights lawyer with extensive experience working with institutions in the public, private and not for profit sector on how to become safer, more respectful and more strategic workplaces.
She has led organisations in strategic planning and organisational change, policy development and implementation, and systemic research on the drivers and impacts of gender inequality and gendered violence in a number of complex settings, advising organisations on how to create lasting change. She has worked in multiple senior and Executive leadership roles in the government and NFP sector.
Areas of special interest – addressing gender inequality and violence; organisational cultural and structural change; governance and leadership.
Jack Regester - Partner
Jack is a former senior executive in the Victorian government with extensive policy and communications experience. He has achieved results for high-profile organisations and Governments including leading legislative and policy reform at a state-Government level and through Royal Commissions, human rights institutions and for international NGOs.
Jack offers advice on strategic leadership, policy analysis and development, youth and community engagement, stakeholder management, communications and campaigns, and report writing.
Areas of special interest – sport and human rights; children and young people; First Nations justice; and helping organisations translate their expertise into effective communications and advocacy.
